"In 1990 I rented a flat in Ripponlea on the railway line when I returned to Melbourne after a ten year absence from my home town, living in Sydney, Amsterdam a London & Los Angeles. St Kilda was on my doorstep. Willy (my partner) & I were living at our friend's place while they were overseas & I was heavily pregnant with my first daughter. In fact we attended the St Kilda Festival and a few hours later she was born. My family lived in St Kilda again in 1995 while we were renovating in Williamstown, and again in 2003/4 as guests of a generous friend. It was nice to be back there."

"Starting gigs at 2am above the St Moritz ice skating rink with Do-Ré-Mi always made for an interesting evening.

Supporting Suzanne Vega at The Palais was a musical treat both to play for her crowd & to watch her performance. The recent APIA concerts at The Palais sharing the stage with the Bull sisters, Wendy Matthews & Kate Ceberano were enormously enjoyable."
